About Hearst Castle

Built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. Designed by Julia Morgan, the first woman admitted to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. 165 rooms and 127 acres of gardens. The Neptune Pool was rebuilt three times. The castle sits on a hill 490 m above the Pacific.
