About Trakai Island Castle
A Gothic castle built on an island in Lake Galve. The historical capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The castle was destroyed in the 17th century and rebuilt in the 20th. The Karaim community, brought from Crimea, still lives in Trakai.
